A bar in Granada
In Granada you eat at the bar. The tapa comes with the drink — you don't order it separately. Bar León is not a conventional restaurant: it's a neighbourhood bar with its own kitchen. The menu exists, but the daily set lunch and the tapa of the moment drive the service. Market produce, daily rotation, no cocktail list. If you're after tablecloths and a long wine list, this isn't the place.
Family heritage
Bar León opened in 1959 on Calle Pan, next to Plaza Nueva. Three generations have kept the bar and dining room running. The kitchen works with seasonal produce and local suppliers. The menu changes based on availability. The daily set menu is served Monday to Friday at lunchtime. There is no cocktail list or background music. Service is direct, at the bar and table.
